How to Make an Irresistible Offer

NOT talking about the hormozi framework

The best cold outbound campaigns that we run always have an “irresistible offer” - but not in the traditional way you think.

Most of us have been taught that adding the “or you don’t pay”, “guaranteed!”, or other 100M Offers strategies are the way to write killer outbound copy.

This is not correct anymore.

The best way to make use of this idea over outbound is by eliciting curiosity towards an obvious goal.

Example 1

“,

SimilarWeb told me that is being beat by {competitor 1}, and {competitor 2} for {niche keywords} on Google right now.

Can I send you the report for high intent keywords your customers are searching for so you can win back these leads?”

  • Obvious goal → wanting to win leads from competitors through search ranking

  • Curiosity / Problem → currently being beat by competitors on specific keywords

All that we’re trying to do with this is get the prospect to have the “oh shit” moment as they’re reading through this.

We’re not adding some crazy guarantee, risk reversal, or even any real offer, but by positioning what we do like this on the front end (for this example we’d assume we’re selling some SEO service), it’s an obvious way to get someone to engage with us.

Compare that to if we wrote an email like this:

“,

We can get you 5-10 calls per month from SEO traffic and rank you in front of your competitors within 5 months guaranteed or you don’t pay.

Want to hop on a call to learn more?”

This isn’t even a “bad” offer, it just has noitceable amounts of more friction than our original one.

It is going to take more thought, effort, consideration, and brain power from the prospect to engage with this - which kills any sort of outbound process.

Person sending the message = doing all the heavy work / lifting.

Person receiving the message = as little effort / friction as possible.

That’s how you win deals, customers, and make killer offers.
