How to Find More of Your Best Customers

with a campaign an 8-year-old could run

I was just on a call with a gentleman from a company where he asked me:

“We have a customer base of 60 great clients right now - what should we be doing to find more of them and run outreach towards them?”

This is one of the simplest outbound campaigns your team SHOULD be running at all times.

Here is the flow to create this:

  1. Go into pandamatch.io 

  • These guys will search the entire web (not just linkedin) for similar companies to the one you give it

  • Input 3-5 of your best / favourite customers you want more of

  • Once PM gives you your list bring it into Clay

  1. Find people at this company

  • Go into Clay.com with your new list of companies and navigate to “find people at these companies”

  • Find relevant job titles associated with your product / service

  • Use Leadmagic.io to find their emails

  1. Build a campaign

  • Run a campaign centered around the messaging framework of this:

“{name},
we just helped a really similar company at {customer} achieve {extremely specific outcome}.
if this is a problem you’d want solved as well, is it worth taking a look if we can help {company} with this?”

Boom.

There is zero need to overcomplicate the targeting on your outbound if you don’t need to. If in an ideal world for you, you would just be able to have more of the clients you already:

  • Love working with

  • Provide great results for

  • Pay you well

Why would you not be trying to find more of them with your campaigns?

You can start running this tomorrow and start booking calls with people who are already benefitting from your service.
